Drug Addiction Support

As a therapist working independently from my quiet home office and my space in central Bournemouth, I offer a safe, welcoming place where you can take time to focus entirely on your recovery, free from judgement, pressure, or expectation.

Unlike inpatient rehab centres that provide 24/7 care, my approach focuses on consistent, ongoing sessions that fit around your life and responsibilities. You won’t be away from home or removed from daily life, instead, we’ll work together, step by step, to create lasting change in a way that feels achievable and right for you.

You may be feeling overwhelmed or unsure whether therapy is enough, but know this: with the right support and a tailored approach, recovery is absolutely possible. Therapy can give you the tools, understanding, and confidence you need to take back control.

A Personalised Approach to Healing

From our first session, we’ll take the time to look at your experience as a whole. Your relationship with substances, any underlying emotional or mental health challenges, and what’s going on beneath the surface. Addiction rarely exists in isolation. By understanding the full picture, we can begin to make meaningful progress, not just managing symptoms, but addressing the root causes.

There’s no one-size-fits-all plan here. Every person I work with receives therapy that’s tailored to their specific needs. Whether it’s coping with cravings, building emotional resilience, processing trauma, or making sense of past experiences, we’ll explore what’s right for you at a pace that feels manageable.

I use a range of therapeutic tools including:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Relapse prevention planning

  • Trauma-informed therapy

  • Ongoing emotional support and accountability

Trying to tackle addiction alone can be incredibly difficult, and there’s absolutely no shame in asking for help. Addiction affects the brain, emotions, and behaviour in powerful ways, and having the right guidance makes a huge difference. With support, you’re not just trying to get through it, you’re actively working towards real, long-term change.

Ongoing therapy offers a space to talk honestly, develop healthier patterns, and understand yourself better. You’ll be supported throughout, whether you’re early in your recovery, returning after a relapse, or managing long-term sobriety.
